Tuesday morning, a woman was airlifted to a regional trauma center after an overnight emergency in Bellefontaine.
According to the Bellefontaine Fire Department, emergency crews responded to a call involving a woman who had reportedly suffered multiple self-inflicted stab wounds and was experiencing breathing difficulties.
After receiving treatment at the scene, she was transported by ambulance to the medical helicopter landing zone in Bellefontaine, where she was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
The incident remains under investigation.
