The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently on the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the Hardin/Allen County line involving a Robinaugh EMS vehicle from Bellefontaine.
The crash happened early Tuesday morning on State Route 309, between State Route 235 and County Road 15.
According to dispatch at the Lima Post, one person was airlifted to a major hospital.
Several other individuals were transported to area hospitals for treatment of sustained injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and traffic in the area may be impacted as emergency crews continue working at the scene.
Robinaugh EMS released the following statement on social media, “Early this morning, one of our units transporting a patient to a Lima hospital was struck by another vehicle who went left of center, striking our unit head-on and causing it to roll. Both crew members sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Lima hospital,s as well as the patient they were transporting. The other driver was flown from the scene. Please keep our teams as well as the patient in your thoughts and prayers.”
