The official kickoff of the summer boating season is underway at Indian Lake. The 69th Annual Indian Lake Boat Show, held the first weekend in March, is expected to draw local boating enthusiasts and visitors from all over the area. This year’s theme, The Great American Boat Show, gives local businesses a chance to welcome visitors and show what they have to offer.
Russells Point Mayor John Hoffman said visitors to the area will be able to see that Indian Lake is ready for the boating season:
The Great American Boat Show is sponsored by Spend-A-Day Marina, Spend-A-Day: Avalon and Used Boats, and Bud’s Marine. Both businesses are offering discounts and specials that won’t be seen again after the show ends. The show enables dealers and manufacturers to offer incentives, making this the perfect time to bring home a new boat.
Spend-A-Day and Bud’s also offer water sports toys, including water skis, towables, tubes, and wakeboards. Plus, boaters can find boating and safety equipment to help them get the most out of their boating experience.
In addition to newer models, each offers a great selection of used boats for every budget.
The show runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM today through Sunday. Admission and parking are free.
