The following is a press release from Bellefontaine Police Chief Chris Marlow, issued Tuesday afternoon:

“During the late evening of October 4, 2026, officers with the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to the Love’s Travel Stop regarding a report of an adult male attempting to meet up with a 15-year-old young man. Upon arrival, officers were met by several individuals who were the complainants and witnesses to the allegations. The suspect was also present at the scene. As officers investigated the matter, they found that an adult male, Brice Henry, had been engaged in a conversation through what was described as a dating app with an individual he believed was a 15-year-old male. That conversation led to Love’s Travel Stop. The investigation and evidence discovered at that time led to the arrest of Mr. Henry, who was interviewed and has been lodged in the Logan County Jail, having initially been criminally charged with Importuning. Subsequently, based on discussions with the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office, the criminal charge moving forward will be Attempted Sexual Conduct with a Minor. Since that time, the investigation has continued and is ongoing with the cooperation and advice of the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.”

Henry is set to be arraigned in Bellefontaine Municipal Court on Wednesday at 10:30 AM and remains lodged at the Logan County Jail.
