A traffic stop in Logan County led to a drug arrest Friday evening, with assistance from multiple agencies and a key alert from a K-9 unit.

Washington Township Police stopped a silver sedan near the intersection of Township Road 239 and U.S. Route 33 after noticing the vehicle was driving with its turn signal on for an extended period without turning.

The vehicle was followed into Russells Point, where additional unusual driving behavior was noticed before the stop was made.

Russells Point Police and deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

The driver, 33-year-old Joshua Rorabough, of DeGraff, was seen making movements inside the vehicle just before stopping.

During the investigation, officers noticed signs of possible drug use, along with blood throughout the vehicle, including on the center console, roof, and driver’s side door panel.

K-9 Tega was called to the scene and alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle and of Rorabough.

During that search, officers found a bag containing several used hypodermic needles hidden in the driver’s groin area.

Additional needles and drug-related items were also found inside the vehicle.

Officers also recovered a small bag containing a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, along with several empty baggies showing residue.

Rorabough was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.

He is facing charges of drug possession and tampering with evidence.

Authorities say he also has prior drug convictions.
