The Logan County Education Foundation has announced the creation of a new Legacy Scholarship program that will provide scholarship opportunities for students in all four public school districts it serves.
The Foundation plans to establish a Legacy Scholarship for each district: Bellefontaine City, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside.
The scholarships will be funded through community donations made at varying levels, ranging from $1 to more than $1,500.
Donors will be acknowledged on plaques displayed within each school district and on the Foundation’s website.
The Logan County Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and can accept Qualified Charitable Distributions.
The scholarships will be available to graduating seniors pursuing trade or technical training, two-year degrees, or four-year college programs.
Eligibility requirements include a minimum 3.0 grade point average, attendance at the student’s high school for at least three years, and participation in community service activities.
“If you are going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark on the world that can’t be erased!” said Lois Stoll, Executive Director of the Logan County Education Foundation. “This initiative gives everyone in our community the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of local students.”
