Logan County Grand Jury hands down 12 indictments

The Logan County Grand Jury met earlier this week and returned indictments against 12 individuals on charges ranging from theft and drug possession to kidnapping, child endangerment, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.

Among the indictments:

Dakota Doty
  • Dakota Doty was indicted on a lengthy list of charges that includes multiple counts of theft, misdemeanor theft, theft of drugs, grand theft involving firearms, burglary, breaking and entering, possession of a fentanyl-related compound, aggravated possession of drugs, possessing drug abuse instruments, having weapons while under disability, and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. According to the indictment, Doty faces four counts of theft, fifth-degree felonies. Three counts of misdemeanor theft. One count of theft of drugs, a third-degree felony. Two counts of grand theft involving a firearm or dangerous ordnance, third-degree felonies. One count of burglary, a second-degree felony. One count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony. One count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a second-degree felony. One third-degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs. One fifth-degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs. One count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor. One count of having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. One count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony.
  • Bradley Pickford was indicted on one count of endangering children, a third-degree felony.
Tyler Ulmer
  • Tyler Ulmer was indicted on charges of domestic violence and strangulation, both third-degree felonies, as well as kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony.
Jeffery Chapman
  • Jeffery Chapman was indicted on two counts of strangulation, including a third-degree felony and a fourth-degree felony, one count of domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, and one count of kidnapping, a first-degree felony.
  • Kyle Thurston was indicted on two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence, both fourth-degree felonies, including one count involving a listed controlled substance or its metabolite.
  • Jonathan Fridley was indicted on one count of nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images, a fifth-degree felony, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, both first-degree misdemeanors.
Vincent Winter
  • Vincent Winter was indicted on one count of aggravated trespass, a third-degree felony.
  • Kara Searfoss was indicted on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.
  • Justin Impson was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.
  • Seth Ferguson was indicted on one count of theft from a person in a protected class, a fourth-degree felony.
  • William Board was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.
Carlos Briscoe
  • Carlos Briscoe was indicted on one count of possession of cocaine, a first-degree felony.

An indictment is merely a formal charge and is not evidence of guilt.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
