Logan County Auditor Jack Reser accepted the Ohio Auditor of State Award on behalf of Logan County Tuesday afternoon at the Logan County Commissioners Office.
Joe Braden, Director of Regional Liaisons, presented the award on behalf of Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber, recognizing the county for meeting the requirements of a clean financial audit.
The Ohio Auditor of State Award recognizes local governments and school districts that demonstrate excellence in financial reporting and accounting.

Eligible entities must file their financial reports on time, follow generally accepted accounting principles, and receive a clean audit without significant findings, deficiencies, or questioned costs.
The Auditor of State’s office audits approximately 4,200 entities annually out of nearly 6,000 total entities, with only a select number qualifying for the award.
During the presentation, Braden recognized the hard work of Logan County employees, financial staff, and the County Auditor’s Office in maintaining strong financial practices and accountability.
He also praised the Logan County Commissioners and County Administrator for their work overseeing county finances.
Braden specifically recognized Reser for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to fiscal integrity.
The award highlights Logan County’s commitment to responsible financial management and maintaining public trust through accurate reporting and oversight of taxpayer dollars.
