ODOT to upgrade US 33 bridge near Russells Point

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced plans to rehabilitate the US 33 bridge over the Great Miami River in Washington Township, just east of Russells Point.

The project is classified as essential maintenance to ensure the safety and longevity of the bridge.

The work will include the replacement of the bridge superstructure and the installation of fiber wrapping on the bridge piers.

ODOT officials expect construction to take place in late spring to early summer 2028.

ODOT is inviting the public to provide feedback on the project.

Residents may comment on issues including the potential impact on the local community, air quality, the economy, or any historic and cultural resources.

Comments will be accepted through March 31, 2026.
