The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the entire state beginning at 7:00 Thursday morning as smoke from Canadian wildfires moves into the region.

Officials say air quality could reach the “Unhealthy” range in many areas.

People in sensitive groups, including children, older adults, and those with heart or lung conditions, are urged to avoid outdoor activities.

Everyone else should consider limiting extended time outside, especially strenuous activity, until air quality improves.

The advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve, and residents are encouraged to monitor local air quality forecasts throughout the day.
