A heavy law enforcement presence has been reported in the 300 block of Lawrence Street on the west side of Bellefontaine after officers responded to a report of possible shots fired in the area.
Officers with the Bellefontaine Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are currently on scene. A woman was detained and transported to the Logan County Jail. Law enforcement officers have also entered the residence as the investigation continues.
At this time, officials have not released the nature of the incident or confirmed whether any shots were fired. There are no EMS units on scene at this time.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while law enforcement continues to secure the scene and conduct its investigation.
