A Huntsville man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after a domestic incident Thursday night.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 8:40 p.m. Thursday to a residence on Township Road 95 after Anthony Partington, 47, reported that a woman had attacked him and that he was bleeding.

Deputies said Partington had injuries to his face, neck and arms.

His injuries included swelling and bruising around both eyes, a bleeding nose, blood around both ears, cuts, scratches and other wounds.

Partington told deputies the couple had been arguing about drinking before the physical confrontation.

He alleged the woman hit him with her fists, scratched him and bit his thumb.

He said the assault continued inside the home until he told her he was going to call law enforcement.

Partington was reportedly intoxicated and told deputies he had consumed about 12 beers.

A second deputy spoke with the woman, who also reported injuries.

She told deputies the couple had been drinking and arguing.

She admitted to hitting Partington, saying she was defending herself.

The woman also told deputies Partington punched her in the face and choked her unconscious in the kitchen.

She said that after she regained consciousness, Partington asked if she needed help getting up or if he should kick her.

Deputies documented bruising and red marks on her face and neck, injuries to her hands, and bruising on her side and arm.

Photographs were taken of both individuals’ injuries, and a written statement was collected from Partington.

Partington was arrested and charged with fourth-degree felony strangulation and first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence.
