Urbana High School celebrated the Class of 2026 on Saturday evening, May 30, as graduates, families, faculty members, and community supporters gathered at Urbana High School Stadium for commencement exercises.
A total of 106 seniors received their diplomas and officially became Urbana High School alumni, marking the culmination of years of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, athletic competition, community service, and personal growth.
The Class of 2026 leaves Urbana High School with an impressive record of accomplishment. Graduates will continue their education at colleges and universities across Ohio and the nation, pursue careers in skilled trades and technical fields, enter the workforce, and begin training in public safety professions.
The class also earned a combined $2,176,009 in scholarships and educational awards, reflecting the hard work and dedication of Urbana students both in and out of the classroom.
Leading the graduating class academically were Valedictorian Kylie Johnson and Salutatorian Noraa Smith.
Johnson plans to attend the University of Cincinnati to study biochemistry, while Smith will attend The Ohio State University to study marketing.
The ceremony celebrated not only academic excellence but also the contributions students made through athletics, music, student leadership, National Honor Society, community organizations, and volunteer service throughout their high school careers.
