ACME: Indian Lake and Benjamin Logan pick up wins

It was a busy night on the diamond as Indian Lake and Benjamin Logan ACME teams came out on top in a pair of competitive matchups on Thursday.

Indian Lake ACME 7, Bellefontaine ACME 4

Indian Lake rallied past Bellefontaine 7–4.

Bellefontaine struck first, grabbing a 2–0 lead in the second inning with a pair of RBI groundouts.

But Indian Lake responded in the third.

Tyler Tidwell ripped an RBI double to spark a three-run inning, with an error helping bring home two more.

Cooper Hall got the win on the mound, throwing four innings and giving up just one earned run.

Tidwell tossed two hitless innings with three strikeouts.

At the plate, Tidwell and Brady Golliday each collected two hits, while Tidwell and Grant Wickline knocked in two runs apiece.

Benjamin Logan ACME 1, Fort Loramie ACME 0

Benjamin Logan came away with a 1–0 win over Fort Loramie in a tight, low-scoring battle.

The only run of the game came in the fourth inning, when Cohen Archer drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in the go-ahead score.

Jacob Hawley was lights out in relief for Benjamin Logan, tossing 5.1 innings of scoreless baseball.

He gave up just two hits, struck out five, and walked only one.

Five different players — Oliver Morse, Micah Gregg, Caden Powell, Layton Watkins, and Carrick Spriggs — each picked up a hit for Benjamin Logan.

Archer finished with the team’s lone RBI.
