Bellefontaine girls bowling rolls to Sectional title, advances to Districts

Bellefontaine’s girls bowling team turned in a statement performance on Wednesday, February 19, 2026, as the Chieftains rolled to a sectional championship and comfortably advanced in the OHSAA postseason. Behind dominant team scoring and a standout individual effort, Bellefontaine controlled the tournament from start to finish at Poelking Woodman Lanes.

Top 10 teams advance to the District Tournament

Several area girls bowling teams competed Wednesday in the OHSAA Division I Southwest Sectional Tournament, and the Bellefontaine Chieftains left no doubt at the top of the standings.

1st — Bellefontaine Chieftains

(Finished 115 pins ahead of second place)

Bellefontaine delivered a dominant performance to claim first place overall, combining high team games with an excellent Baker series to cruise into the district round.
