The Bellefontaine Chieftains girls golf team competed in a nine-hole match at The Ridge Golf & Gardens in Marysville, finishing third against Jonathan Alder and London.
Jonathan Alder claimed the team victory with a score of 216, while London finished second with a 222. Bellefontaine followed with a team score of 230.
Bellefontaine was led by Ella Fultz, who posted the Chieftains’ low round of the match with a 52. Allison Myers followed with a 55 to help pace Bellefontaine’s scoring lineup.
Jonathan Alder’s 216 was enough to secure the win, while London finished just six strokes behind the Tigers. Bellefontaine finished eight strokes behind London and 14 strokes behind Jonathan Alder.
The nine-hole match at The Ridge Golf & Gardens, an 18-hole public course and event venue in Marysville, gave the Chieftains another opportunity to gain competitive experience and continue developing their lineup.
Bellefontaine will look to build on the performance as the Chieftains continue their 2026 season and prepare for their upcoming matches.
