Benjamin Logan track teams sweep podium at Bethel Quad Meet

Benjamin Logan Girls – 1st Place (80 Points)

The Benjamin Logan girls track and field team matched the boys with a strong showing, winning the Bethel Quad Meet with 80 points behind dominant relay performances and depth across the lineup.

Abby Vance led the way, winning the 200 meters (27.35) and the long jump (16-9), while also running on two winning relay teams. The Raiders swept the sprint relays, taking first in the 4×100 (53.29) and 4×200 (1:52.86) with Daylin Varner, Scarlett Elliott, Storm LeVan, and Vance. Benjamin Logan also won the 4×400 and finished second with its B team.

On the track, Peyton Smith placed second in the 1600 and fifth in the 800, while Gwendolyn Smith added a fourth-place finish in the 800 and fifth in the 1600. In the sprints, Daylin Varner (5th) and Adelina Ramsey (6th, personal best) led the 100 meters.

Sarah Miller contributed in the hurdles, placing fourth in the 300 hurdles (personal best) and seventh in the 100 hurdles.

Field events were another strength. Autumn Cline won the shot put (31-8), while Kyla Godwin captured the discus title (104-0) and Kaylee Hays finished second. In the high jump, Addison Anderson (2nd), Madi Oakes (3rd), Storm LeVan (4th), and Joplin Schneider (5th) all placed in the top five. Penelope Elliott added a runner-up finish in the pole vault.

With multiple event wins, relay dominance, and consistent top-five finishes, the Raiders secured the team title.

Benjamin Logan Boys – 1st Place (84 Points)

The Benjamin Logan boys track and field team used a balanced effort to win the Bethel Quad Meet with 84 points.

Candin Tucker led the way on the track, winning the 200 meters (24.66), while Carter Buck placed second in the 100 (12.14). Davis Matthews added a win in the 400 (54.47). The Raiders also saw Luke Vesely (3rd), Greyson Butler (4th), and Maxwell Troth (5th) place in the 1600, while Michael Berry finished fourth in the 800.

In the hurdles, Cooper Buck placed third in the 110s and fourth in the 300s, with Cole Somerlot adding a fifth-place finish in the 300 hurdles.

Benjamin Logan’s relays were strong across the board, finishing second in the 4×100 and 4×800, and third in the 4×200.

The field events proved decisive. Gus Bibart won both the shot put (41-11) and discus (127-6), leading a sweep of the top four spots in shot put alongside Daniel Koehler (2nd), Asher Boysel (3rd), and Nate Mitchell (4th). Roman Maxwell won the long jump (20-7) and took second in the high jump, while Owen Stratton added a third-place finish in high jump. Carter Daniels also claimed first in the pole vault (14-10).

With multiple top-five finishes and strong depth throughout, the Raiders secured the team title.
