Several area volleyball teams were in action Tuesday night, with Urbana defeating Bellefontaine in four sets, while Benjamin Logan swept Northwestern. Indian Lake picked up a five-set win over Springfield Shawnee, Riverside swept Milton Union, and West Liberty-Salem fell to Madison Plains in three sets.
Urbana 3, Bellefontaine 1 — Varsity
The Urbana Hillclimbers defended their home court and swept the season series against Bellefontaine with a four-set victory Tuesday night, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-10.

Bellefontaine controlled the opening set early and led 18-14 before Urbana went on an 11-point run to close out the set.
The Lady Chiefs responded in the second set, with the teams trading points throughout. Bellefontaine scored five of the final six points to even the match at one set apiece.
Bellefontaine again started quickly in the third set, but Urbana took control and pulled away for the set victory before rolling through the fourth set to finish the match.
Lily Trenor led Urbana with 17 kills and four aces. Kaylee Wooten added a season-high 11 kills, Payton Dyer had seven kills and Maci Leamann finished with five kills. Libero Alayna Toney added two aces.
For Bellefontaine, Lexey Brown led the Lady Chiefs with eight kills, along with one block and two digs.
Jillian Ullom recorded 14 digs, went 32-for-35 on serve receive and finished 18-for-20 serving with three aces.
Alayna Boyd had five kills, two blocks, three aces and five digs.
Presley Viganski finished with 27 assists, three kills, four digs and an ace.
Ava Layman added 10 kills, two assists and five digs, while Arianna Rangel had four kills and two digs.
Bellefontaine falls to 5-13 and will host Jonathan Alder Thursday. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
Urbana 2, Bellefontaine 1 — JV
The Bellefontaine JV Lady Chieftains picked up a three-set victory at Urbana, winning 11-25, 25-15 and 25-17.
Rosie Lightle had 11 assists, three kills and 16 digs while going 13-for-13 serving with an ace.
Brookelyn Oaks added six digs and three aces.
Rylyn Hoskins-Rose had four kills, two aces and two digs, while Ellie Bosiljevac finished with six kills and seven digs.
Gianna Davis had four kills, three aces and nine digs.
Alexis Hogan added eight assists, three digs, a kill and an ace.
The JV Lady Chiefs improve to 6-12 and will host Jonathan Alder Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Benjamin Logan 3, Northwestern 0 — Varsity
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders continued their strong season Tuesday night with a straight-set victory over Northwestern in a CBC Mad River Division matchup.
Benjamin Logan controlled the match from the opening serve, winning 25-15, 25-10 and 25-19.
Abby Vance led the Raiders with nine kills, while Georgia Daniels and Summer Cline each added seven.
Ava Miller and Nevaeh Fogle had two kills apiece, while Storm LeVan also contributed throughout the match.
Autumn Cline ran the offense with 28 assists.
The balanced attack helped Benjamin Logan finish off another CBC Mad River Division victory in three sets.
Indian Lake 3, Springfield Shawnee 2 — Varsity
Indian Lake earned a five-set victory over Springfield Shawnee Tuesday night, winning 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25 and 15-8.
Cami Bailey led the Lakers with 16 kills, 15 digs, a block and an ace.
Courtney Altsaetter added 14 kills and four blocks, while Mackenzie Miller had 13 kills, 18 digs, a block and an ace.
Madison Davis finished with 11 kills and two blocks.
Alivia Kinney had four kills, two blocks and an ace.
Addyson Roby ran the offense with 55 assists while adding 12 digs, a block and an ace.
Kyler Carruthers had nine digs and two aces, while Quinn Imm added seven digs and finished with a 90-percent serve-receive percentage.
Indian Lake 2, Springfield Shawnee 0 — JV
The JV Lakers swept Shawnee 25-15 and 25-17.
Claire Tidwell had eight kills and four digs.
Taylor Duff and Hayleigh Penix each had three kills.
Lux Kipker finished with 12 assists, three aces and four digs.
Layna Nessler added six assists and four digs, while Ayla Brentlinger had eight digs.
Madison Plains 3, West Liberty-Salem 0 — Varsity
West Liberty-Salem fell to Madison Plains in three sets Tuesday night, 25-8, 25-17 and 21-25.
Reese Winters led the Tigers with nine kills, 13 digs, three aces and two blocks.
Kiersten Stoll added five kills, eight digs and a block.
Lilli Heminger finished with three kills, six digs and three blocks.
Sophia Landon had eight digs, 15 assists and a block, while Reagan Winters added 11 digs and three assists.
West Liberty-Salem will take on Triad Thursday. First serve is set for 5:30 p.m.
Riverside 3, Milton Union 0 — Varsity
Riverside swept Milton Union in three sets Tuesday night.
Kara Klingler led the offense with 22 assists.
Eva Dodds finished with eight kills, while Makayla Hurley added seven kills.
Emilee Robinson led the defense with 23 digs, and Bella Robinson added 11 digs.
Riverside 2, Milton Union 0 — JV
The Riverside JV team also picked up a sweep, winning 25-16 and 25-21.
Ellie Zwiebel had 17 assists.
Addison Shoe led the attack with seven kills and four aces, while Madison Schindewolf added four kills.
Karly Gillman and Bella Robinson each finished with six digs.
