Graham (5-1) 32, Benjamin Logan (3-3) 24 — OT

Graham improved to 5-1 Friday night with a 32-24 overtime win over Benjamin Logan.
Benjamin Logan got on the board first when a blocked Graham punt was returned for a touchdown. Brandon Heater added the extra point to give the Raiders a 7-0 lead.
The Raiders extended their lead with four seconds left in the first quarter when Rhett Newman scored on a five-yard touchdown run, making it 14-0.
Graham answered in the second quarter when quarterback Gage Stull connected with Brody Jenkins for a 68-yard touchdown pass. The extra point was blocked, cutting the lead to 14-6.
The Falcons then took the lead when Danny Hoke scored on a four-yard touchdown run. The two-point attempt failed, making it 14-12.
Benjamin Logan responded before halftime when Jordan Pender broke loose for a 26-yard touchdown run. Heater’s extra point put the Raiders ahead 21-12.
Graham continued its comeback in the third quarter when Danny Hoke scored on a two-yard touchdown run. The extra point was missed, making it 21-18.
Hoke scored again early in the fourth quarter, this time on a two-yard touchdown run. The extra point was blocked, giving Graham a 24-21 lead.
Benjamin Logan tied the game with 5:11 remaining when Brandon Heater connected on a 50-yard field goal, sending the game to overtime at 24-24.
Graham took control in overtime when Danny Hoke scored on a three-yard touchdown run. Danny Hoke then ran for the two-point conversion to put the Falcons ahead 32-24.
Benjamin Logan had a chance to answer, but Graham’s defense came through. The Falcons recorded two tackles for loss on the first two plays of the Raiders’ overtime possession, helping seal the victory.
The Hoke brothers powered Graham’s rushing attack, with Danny and Jacob combining for more than 300 rushing yards, with Danny accounting for all four of Graham’s rushing touchdowns.
Graham finished with 449 total yards, including 320 rushing and 129 passing.
Benjamin Logan totaled 186 yards, with 87 rushing and 99 passing. Jordan Pender led the Raiders with 50 rushing yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, while Adam Tinsman completed 13-of-17 passes for 76 yards.

North Union (4-2) 21, Indian Lake (3-3) 7

Indian Lake opened Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division play Friday night with a 21-7 loss to North Union, dropping the Lakers to 3-3 on the season.
The Lakers fell behind early as North Union’s Nickolas Hajjar scored on a two-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead.
Hajjar found the end zone again in the second quarter, scoring from one yard out to make it 14-0.
Indian Lake answered late in the first half. Brady Golliday connected with Colin Bendler on a 28-yard touchdown pass with 2:58 left in the second quarter. Rush Hurley added the extra point, cutting the North Union lead to 14-7.
The Wildcats answered just before halftime. Hajjar connected with Wyatt Arver on a four-yard touchdown pass with 14 seconds remaining, giving North Union a 21-7 lead at the break.
Neither team scored in the second half.
Golliday finished 12-of-24 passing for 155 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also led the Lakers on the ground with 41 yards on 17 carries.
Bendler caught six passes for 59 yards and the touchdown, while Brodey Reisinger had six catches for 54 yards. Braden Tussing added two catches for 32 yards.
Indian Lake finished with 212 total yards, including 155 passing and just 57 rushing.
North Union totaled 279 yards, with 190 coming on the ground. Hajjar finished with 43 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, while Arver rushed for 85 yards on 20 carries.
The Wildcats’ defense also kept pressure on Golliday, recording six sacks.
Penalties were another difference in the game. Indian Lake was flagged eight times for 89 yards, while North Union had just three penalties for 35 yards.
The loss marks an early setback for the Lakers in the CBC Mad River Division race. Indian Lake entered the game having won the previous two Mad River Division championships.
Kenton Ridge (5-1) 41, Bellefontaine (1-5) 7
Bellefontaine fell to 1-5 Friday night after a 41-7 loss to Kenton Ridge.
The Chiefs started another new quarterback, with Aven Caudill making his debut at quarterback at any level of football.
Kenton Ridge scored on four of its first five offensive drives, taking control early.
The Cougars opened the scoring midway through the first quarter after a 10-play, four-minute drive. Quarterback Bryndyn Parsons found Myklah Wortham for a 14-yard touchdown to make it 7-0.
Early in the second quarter, Brody Runkle scored from 18 yards out to extend the lead to 14-0.
On the third play of Bellefontaine’s next drive, Kenton Ridge junior linebacker Zyler Lucas stepped in front of a screen pass from Caudill, intercepted it and returned it 54 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was missed, making it 20-0.
Parsons connected with Mason McDermott on a 21-yard touchdown pass on the Cougars’ next possession, making it 27-0.
After Bellefontaine’s short punt gave Kenton Ridge the ball at the Chiefs’ 26 with 52 seconds left in the half, Runkle scored on a 26-yard run just two plays later. Kenton Ridge led 34-0 at halftime.
Runkle scored again on the first play from scrimmage of the second half, breaking loose for a 71-yard touchdown run down the left sideline to make it 41-0.
Bellefontaine finally got on the board just before the end of the third quarter. Bryant Carter broke through a crease and raced 80 yards for a touchdown, his second of the season.
The touchdown ended the Chiefs’ scoring drought, as Bellefontaine had not scored since the third quarter of Week Three against Marion Harding.
The fourth quarter was scoreless.
Runkle led the Cougars with an electric night, rushing 14 times for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
Parsons completed 10-of-14 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns, with his final four passes of the night falling incomplete. McDermott had four catches for 91 yards and a touchdown, while tight end Brennan Shaffer added three catches for 38 yards.
Caudill completed 8-of-15 passes for 50 yards and one interception in his quarterback debut.
Carter carried the Chiefs with 16 carries for 124 yards and a touchdown, while Dillon Jones led Bellefontaine’s receiving corps with three catches for 22 yards.
Other Local Games
Riverside (5-1) 41, Bethel (1-5) 24
Riverside improved to 5-1 Friday night with a 41-24 win over Bethel, dropping the Bees to 1-5.
The Pirates opened the scoring in the first quarter when Justin Mazariegos scored on a five-yard touchdown run.
Riverside added two more touchdowns in the second quarter. Dylan Trimble scored on an 11-yard run, and Gunner Carpenter added a two-yard touchdown run with five seconds left in the half.
Bethel got on the board in the second quarter when Mason Stortenbecker connected with Brody Kohorst on a 12-yard touchdown pass.
The Bees added another touchdown early in the fourth quarter, but Riverside continued to answer.
Trimble scored his second touchdown of the night on a one-yard run, followed by a 55-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Bethel’s Ethan Maxwell.
Carpenter then added a 29-yard touchdown run for Riverside before Bethel’s Kaden Hardacre-Sims returned a kickoff 90 yards for another touchdown.
Carpenter capped the scoring with his third touchdown of the night, a five-yard run with 1:24 remaining.
Riverside finished with 388 total yards, including 335 rushing. The Pirates ran for 6.7 yards per carry and controlled the clock with nearly 31 minutes of possession.
Trimble led Riverside with 148 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries, while Carpenter added 147 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. Mazariegos finished with 26 yards and a touchdown.
Riverside quarterback Brody Orsborne completed 4-of-5 passes for 53 yards and added 14 rushing yards on three carries.
The Pirates also had a strong night defensively, holding Bethel to 130 total yards, including just 56 rushing yards.
Riverside committed one turnover, while Bethel also had one. The Pirates were penalized seven times for 55 yards, compared to three penalties for 40 yards by Bethel.
West Liberty-Salem (3-2) 33, Fairbanks (1-5) 27 — 2OT
West Liberty-Salem improved to 3-2 Friday night with a thrilling 33-27 double-overtime win over Fairbanks.
The Tigers struck first in the second quarter when Grant Krabill returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown, with Tucker Searles adding the extra point to put West Liberty-Salem up 7-0.
Fairbanks answered late in the second quarter when Carson Shope connected with Netanyahu Moore on a 41-yard touchdown pass. The extra point was unsuccessful, leaving the Tigers with a 7-6 lead at halftime.
West Liberty-Salem extended its lead early in the third quarter when Sam Kidd returned an interception 17 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was blocked, making it 13-6.
Fairbanks answered with a 21-yard touchdown run by Shope to tie the game at 13-13.
Just 36 seconds later, West Liberty-Salem regained the lead when Zade Bieleski scored on a five-yard touchdown run, with Searles adding the extra point to make it 20-13.
Fairbanks tied the game in the fourth quarter when Brennan Peffer scored on a two-yard touchdown run, sending the game to overtime at 20-20.
West Liberty-Salem took the lead in the first overtime when Silas Krabill scored on a nine-yard touchdown run. Fairbanks answered with an 11-yard touchdown run by Shope, tying the game at 27-27.
In the second overtime, Silas Krabill came through again, scoring on a seven-yard touchdown run. The extra point was unsuccessful, but the Tigers’ defense stopped Fairbanks to secure the 33-27 victory.
Krabill had a standout night for West Liberty-Salem, rushing for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. He also recorded 11.5 tackles and had the 70-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Beckett Sullivan completed 14-of-20 passes for 118 yards and added 48 rushing yards. Bieleski finished with 38 rushing yards and a touchdown, while the Tigers totaled 303 yards of offense, including 227 rushing.
West Liberty-Salem’s defense forced three interceptions, with Krabill and Kidd both returning interceptions for touchdowns.
Fairbanks finished with 319 total yards, including 250 rushing. Shope led the Falcons with 122 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, while also throwing for 41 yards and a touchdown.
Penalties favored the Tigers, with Fairbanks committing eight penalties for 77 yards, compared to just two penalties for 20 yards by West Liberty-Salem.
