Several area volleyball teams were on the court Thursday night, with Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan earning straight-set victories while Indian Lake fell to Jonathan Alder.
Varsity – Benjamin Logan 3, Tecumseh 0
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders swept Tecumseh 3-0 Thursday night in a CBC crossover match.
Benjamin Logan won 25-7, 25-3 and 25-14.
Georgia Daniels led the Raiders with nine kills and seven aces. Summer Cline added eight kills, while Abby Vance had seven kills and four aces.
Autumn Cline directed the offense with 20 assists and added four aces. Avah Miller finished with four kills and a block.
Adabella Guider and Nevaeh Fogle each recorded a kill. Storm LeVan added a block, while Leah Dials contributed an ace.
Lydia Johnson and Kaelin Gibson each posted a 3.00 passing rating, while Brielle Kline recorded a 2.40.
The Raiders improve to 3-0 on the season.
Varsity – Bellefontaine 3, Graham 0
The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains picked up a 3-0 win over the Graham Falcons Thursday night, winning 25-17, 25-16 and 25-16.
Presley Vigansky led the Chieftains with 24 assists and was 18-for-18 serving with three aces. She also recorded three kills and three digs.
Ava Layman added 12 kills and eight digs while going 11-for-12 on serve receive and 12-for-14 serving with two aces.
Alayna Boyd recorded five kills and six digs while going 8-for-8 on serve receive. She also had an assist and an ace.
Lexey Brown contributed five kills, two blocks and two digs, while Arianna Rangel added four kills and three digs.
Celine Blinn was 17-for-18 serving with three aces and added four digs while going 5-for-6 on serve receive.
Jillian Ullom finished with eight digs, two assists and two aces and went 12-for-13 on serve receive.
Jazmin Nelson added a kill, block, assist, and two digs.
The varsity Chieftains improve to 3-3 and will travel to London Tuesday for a conference matchup with the Red Raiders.
JV – Graham 2, Bellefontaine 1
The Bellefontaine JV Chieftains fell to Graham in three sets, 26-24, 22-25, 16-25.
Rosie Lightle led Bellefontaine with 22 digs and 10 assists while going 13-for-14 serving with an ace.
Ellie Bosiljevac recorded seven kills and 11 digs while going 8-for-8 serving. Gianna Davis added three kills and eight digs and was 14-for-15 serving with an ace.
Ellie Irick had six kills, while Brookelyn Oaks finished with 16 digs and six assists and was 8-for-9 serving with an ace.
Alexis Hogan contributed 12 digs and four assists while going 5-for-5 serving. Alejandra Meregote added three digs and went 4-for-5 on serve receive.
Rylyn Hoskins-Rose recorded three aces and a kill.
The JV Chieftains fall to 2-4 and will also travel to London Tuesday.]
Varsity – Fairbanks 3, West Liberty-Salem 2
Fairbanks rallied to defeat the West Liberty-Salem varsity Tigers in a five-set match, 21-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 15-10.
Reese Winters led the Tigers with 18 kills, 17 digs, two blocks and an ace.
Reagan Winters recorded 28 digs and added two assists and an ace.
Sophia Landon finished with 25 assists, three blocks and two aces, while Rylee Falloon added four kills and four digs.
The Tigers will return to action Saturday, August 29, at home. JVB begins at 12:30 p.m., with JV and varsity to follow.
JV – West Liberty-Salem 2, Fairbanks 1
The West Liberty-Salem JV Tigers earned a three-set victory over Fairbanks Thursday night, winning 25-21, 23-25 and 25-19.
Bella Johnson led the Tigers with 21 assists, 13 digs and three aces.
Sydney Conley added nine kills, 14 digs and five aces, while Kenzie Underwood finished with four kills and 15 digs.
Paysley Wesson contributed 10 digs and a kill.
Varsity – Jonathan Alder 3, Indian Lake 1
Indian Lake hosted Jonathan Alder Thursday night, with the Lady Lakers falling in four sets, 17-25, 25-20, 18-25 and 13-25.
Cami Bailey led Indian Lake with nine kills, 13 digs and two aces. Alivia Kinney added seven kills and an ace.
Madison Davis and Courtney Altstaetter each recorded six kills. Davis added three digs and an ace, while Altstaetter had two digs and an ace.
Mackenzie Miller finished with four kills, 16 digs and two aces.
Addyson Roby led the Lakers with 29 assists, four kills and 10 digs. Piper Warnecke and Quinn Imm each recorded 11 digs.
JV – Jonathan Alder 2, Indian Lake 0
The Indian Lake JV Lady Lakers fell to Jonathan Alder in two sets, 19-25 and 15-25.
Claire Tidwell and Piper Robinson each had five kills, while Lux Kipker recorded eight assists and eight digs.
Kyler Carruthers led the Lakers with 11 digs and added two assists. Ayla Brentlinger contributed five digs.
Freshman – Jonathan Alder 2, Indian Lake 0
The Indian Lake freshman team also fell to Jonathan Alder in two sets, 18-25 and 20-25.
Hayleigh Penix led the Lakers with three kills and three aces. Adeline Schulz added two kills.
Addison Headings finished with four digs and three assists, while Reese Imm and Carsyn Warnecke each had five digs. Heidi Wolf added three digs.
The Indian Lake Lakers will be back in action Saturday when they travel to West Liberty.
