The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders earned a hard-fought CBC League victory Wednesday night, defeating the Indian Lake Lady Lakers 44–30 in a physical matchup to close out the regular-season league schedule.
Benjamin Logan set the tone on the defensive end, forcing turnovers throughout the game and finishing with 17 steals as a team. The pressure disrupted Indian Lake’s offense and created key scoring opportunities for the Lady Raiders.
Offensively, Benjamin Logan relied on balanced scoring. Kylie Harner led the way with 12 points, while Rylan Norviel added 10 points and 4 steals. Adilynne Gregg delivered a strong all-around performance with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Molly Siefring chipped in 5 points and 4 steals, Paislee Rodenberger scored 5 points, and Joplyn Schneider added 2 points.
Indian Lake battled throughout the night but came up short in its final CBC matchup of the regular season. Carly Strayer led the Lady Lakers with 9 points, while Rya Pequignot and Kennedy Schwaderer followed close behind in the scoring.
With the win, Benjamin Logan improves to 10–10 overall and 5–5 in CBC League play. The Lady Raiders will host the Ridgemont Gophers this Saturday in a rescheduled varsity-only game beginning at noon, marking their final home game of the season.
West Liberty-Salem 7th Grade Season Ends in OHC Semifinals
The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade girls basketball team saw its postseason run come to an end Wednesday night, falling 21–15 to Mechanicsburg on the road in the OHC tournament semifinals.
Zoey Richardson led the Tigers with 9 points, while Izzy Jones added 4 points and Chloe Staten chipped in 2. West Liberty-Salem finishes the season with a strong 10–4 record.
