Area cross country teams competed Saturday at the William B. Saxbe Invitational, Coldwater Lions Invitational and Anna Rocket Invitational. Mechanicsburg captured the girls team title at the William B. Saxbe Invitational, while Bellefontaine Middle School swept the boys and girls team competitions at the Anna Rocket Invitational. West Liberty-Salem also earned a third-place finish in the girls race at Coldwater.
William B. Saxbe Invitational
1ST – MECHANICSBURG GIRLS (36)
The Mechanicsburg girls cross country team won the William B. Saxbe Invitational at Goshen Memorial Park, finishing first out of 17 teams with 36 points.
Reiner Schaadt led the Indians with a third-place finish in 20:04.7, followed closely by Evelyn Shultz in fourth at 20:05.3.
Elizabeth Shuryan placed ninth in 21:00.0, while Blake Rausch finished 10th in 21:11.0.
Bailee Eyink finished 24th in 23:57.9, followed by Ayla Picklesimon in 28th at 24:29.8.
Ally Dingey placed 38th in 26:32.1.
4TH – MECHANICSBURG BOYS (121)
The Mechanicsburg boys finished fourth at the William B. Saxbe Invitational, scoring 121 points in a field of 17 teams.
Adrian Miller led the Indians with a 12th-place finish in 18:19.6.
Dmitri Pack finished 21st in 18:47.8, followed by Ben Montgomery in 26th at 19:25.2.
Thomas Good placed 36th in 19:51.4, while Ethan Schaffner finished 81st in 23:41.9.
5TH – URBANA BOYS (157)
The Urbana boys finished fifth at the William B. Saxbe Invitational with 157 points, winning a team tiebreaker over Graham.
Sawyer Risner led the Hillclimbers with a 28th-place finish in 19:30.3.
Landon McKellop finished 33rd in 19:50.3, followed by Anthony Keeran in 45th at 20:51.0.
Alex McCrae placed 51st in 21:05.8, while Connor Moore finished 59th in 21:40.0.
Levi Zachrich placed 60th in 21:40.3, followed by Henry Chapman in 61st at 21:44.9.
5TH – URBANA GIRLS (121)
The Urbana girls finished fifth at the William B. Saxbe Invitational, scoring 121 points.
Hazel Lightle led the Hillclimbers with a 13th-place finish in 21:59.4.
Sara Hildebrand finished 21st in 23:32.7, followed by Olivia MacKendrick in 26th at 24:08.6.
Aubrie Cayten placed 54th in 29:13.9, while Ava Meyer finished 62nd in 31:36.6.
6TH – GRAHAM BOYS (157)
The Graham boys finished sixth at the William B. Saxbe Invitational with 157 points, losing a team tiebreaker to Urbana.
Brandon Lockery led the Falcons with a 22nd-place finish in 19:08.0.
Jesse Jenkins finished 34th in 19:50.6, followed by Hunter Demarco in 37th at 19:52.2.
Maddex Cushard placed 50th in 21:03.7, while Sully Uhl finished 73rd in 23:18.9.
Tucker Fenton placed 75th in 23:24.3, followed by Harlyn Putterbaugh in 104th at 37:36.9.

The Graham girls finished seventh at the William B. Saxbe Invitational with 166 points.
Adelaide Shearer led the Falcons with a 34th-place finish in 25:24.0.
Kendall Nichols finished 37th in 26:28.3, followed by Tori Ford in 52nd at 28:59.8.
Cece Mockbee placed 56th in 30:20.8, while Lilly Ervin finished 60th in 30:38.0.
Stella Leighty placed 64th in 32:45.7, followed by Alba Putterbaugh in 69th at 37:44.3.

3RD – WEST LIBERTY-SALEM GIRLS (119)
The West Liberty-Salem girls cross country team finished third at the Coldwater Lions Invitational, scoring 119 points in a field of 23 teams.
Addi Wallen led the Tigers with a fifth-place finish in 21:21.09.
Isla Leichty placed eighth in 21:28.21, followed by Elin Leichty in 15th at 21:59.46.
Elia Matthews finished 37th in 23:01.55, while Charlee Albers placed 68th in 24:14.11.
Olive Matthews finished 82nd in 24:37.03, followed by Hattie Jacobs in 83rd at 24:40.12.
17TH – WEST LIBERTY-SALEM BOYS JV (473)
The West Liberty-Salem boys junior varsity team finished 17th at the Coldwater Lions Invitational with 473 points.
Zeke Sidders led the Tigers with a 64th-place finish in 17:58.42.
Liam Harrington finished 101st in 18:39.08, followed by Walker Williams in 111th at 18:46.50.
Daniel Erne placed 131st in 19:14.15, while Zac Carter finished 137th in 19:28.79.
Isaiah Barth placed 159th in 19:51.02, followed by Connor Watson in 231st at 22:33.83.

Anna Rocket Invitational
1ST – BELLEFONTAINE MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS
The Bellefontaine Middle School girls cross country team won the Anna Rocket Invitational, finishing first out of 18 teams in a field of 107 runners.
The victory marked the first time during coach Kesler’s tenure that a Bellefontaine team had won the meet. The Chiefs’ top five runners also recorded the fastest combined time in program history for a girls team.
Kylie Lowe led the way with a fourth-place finish in 12:26, recording a personal record. Emma Smith placed seventh in 12:41, also with a PR.
Willow Rupp finished 16th in 13:37, followed by Miley McKirahan in 22nd at 13:42. Both runners recorded personal records.
Danica Engle placed 32nd in 14:09 with a PR, while Gemma Rutan finished 46th in 15:04.
Emily Escue placed 51st in 15:28 with a PR, followed by Rosie Moreland in 107th at 24:31, also with a personal record.
The Chiefs will compete next at the Central Buckeye Conference meet in Urbana on Saturday.

6TH – BELLEFONTAINE MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS
The Bellefontaine Middle School boys finished sixth out of 18 teams at the Anna Rocket Invitational, competing in a field of 113 runners.
Every Bellefontaine runner recorded a personal record.
Camden Vollrath led the Chiefs with an eighth-place finish in 11:54, breaking the 12-minute barrier and earning a top-15 award.
Daniel Campbell finished 27th in 12:41, followed by Anthony Carter in 31st at 12:49. Both earned top-50 awards.
Owen Smith placed 43rd in 13:10, also earning a top-50 award.
Malek Alhaj finished 88th in 15:30, while Salomon Montes de Ocha Sanchez placed 111th in 21:39.
The Chiefs will compete next at the CBC meet in Urbana on Saturday.

BELLEFONTAINE YOUTH
Emmett Lowe won the youth mile run at the Anna Rocket Invitational, finishing in a personal-record time of 6:00.
Lowe will compete next at the Youth State Meet at Dublin Jerome on Oct. 25.

INDIAN LAKE GIRLS
The Indian Lake girls competed at the Anna Rocket Invitational, with four Lakers recording strong finishes and three earning personal records.
Laura Metzger led Indian Lake with a 25th-place finish in 21:38.2, recording a season-best time.
Alicia Brielmaier finished 34th in 22:20.2 with a PR, followed by Kayleigh Taylor in 44th at 22:56.6, also with a personal record.
Abby Arnett placed 72nd in 24:42.9 with a PR.

INDIAN LAKE BOYS
Nathan White led the Indian Lake boys at the Anna Rocket Invitational with a 55th-place finish in 18:28.1.
Hayden Kuhlke finished 67th in 18:48.4, while Dalton Young placed 173rd in 23:23.4.

INDIAN LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS
The Indian Lake Middle School girls competed at the Anna Rocket Invitational, with three runners recording personal records.
Aubrey Hoffman led the Lakers with a 70th-place finish in 16:21, recording a PR.
Serenity Albert finished 71st in 16:26, also with a PR, while Taylor Alltop placed 76th in 16:54 with a personal record.
Kenzi Arnett finished 99th in 20:42, followed by Cheyenne Pender in 102nd at 21:00.
Kaylyn Warren placed 104th in 22:28.
INDIAN LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS
The Indian Lake Middle School boys had several strong performances at the Anna Rocket Invitational, with seven runners recording personal records.
Hayden Thompson led the Lakers with a 34th-place finish in 12:56, setting a PR and earning a top-finisher ribbon. His time also earned him a place on the Indian Lake Middle School boys all-time top performers list.
Isaac King finished 36th in 13:01 with a PR and also earned a top-finisher ribbon.
Owen Flory placed 80th in 15:14.3 with a PR, followed closely by Kole Gilliam in 81st at 15:14.5.
Lincoln Nielsen finished 86th in 15:27.2 with a PR, while Carter Flory placed 87th in 15:27.6, also recording a personal record.
Lincoln Halterman finished 93rd in 16:00 with a PR, followed by Gunner Rogers in 105th at 18:44, also with a personal record.
INDIAN LAKE YOUTH
Indian Lake Middle School cross country team manager Kale Freeman recorded a personal record of 6:34 in the fun run mile at the Anna Rocket Invitational.
The Lakers will compete next at the Central Buckeye Conference championships in Urbana on Saturday.
CALVARY CHRISTIAN BOYS
Adly Knox led the Calvary Christian boys at the Anna Rocket Invitational with a 12th-place finish in 16:55.1.
Benaiah Soma finished 21st in 17:22.0, followed by Aydan Knox in 42nd at 18:03.9.
Will Bender placed 89th in 19:32.2.
CALVARY CHRISTIAN GIRLS
Evie White led the Calvary Christian girls at the Anna Rocket Invitational with a 60th-place finish in 23:58.8.
Avery McCarty finished 63rd in 24:06.8, followed by Soma Mayumi in 96th at 27:11.3.
Jocelyn Wylie placed 107th in 30:32.2.
RIVERSIDE BOYS
Brenden Lattimer represented Riverside at the Anna Rocket Invitational, finishing 200th in 31:12.4.
