OHSAA announces draw for girls’ basketball tournaments

The 2026 OHSAA girls’ high school basketball tournaments are set, and several area teams are preparing to begin postseason play across multiple divisions and district brackets. Local programs will open tournament action next week with district quarterfinal and first-round matchups as the road to a district championship gets underway.

Here’s a breakdown of tournament games for local teams:

Division III – Southwest 1

District Quarterfinal:
No. 15 Bellefontaine vs No. 4 Tippecanoe
Wed. Feb. 19 – 7:30 PM @ Springfield HS

Bellefontaine enters tournament play as the No. 15 seed and faces a tough challenge against fourth-seeded Tippecanoe. The Lady Chieftains will look to put together a strong postseason performance on a neutral floor.

Division IV – Southwest 1

District Quarterfinal:
No. 4 Urbana vs No. 14 Madison
Wed. Feb. 19 – 7:30 PM @ Troy HS

Urbana opens tournament play as the No. 4 seed, hosting Madison in a district quarterfinal matchup. The Hillclimbers aim to take advantage of their favorable seeding as they begin their postseason run.

Division IV – Southwest 2

District Quarterfinal:
No. 10 Benjamin Logan vs No. 7 Dunbar
Tue. Feb. 18 – 7:30 PM @ Troy HS

Benjamin Logan earned the No. 10 seed and will square off with Dunbar in what shapes up as a competitive quarterfinal matchup. The Lady Raiders will look to advance with a strong showing on the road.

Division IV – Southwest 3

District Quarterfinal:
No. 6 Graham vs winner of No. 8 Eaton / No. 11 Meadowdale
Sat. Feb. 21 – 1:00 PM @ Troy HS

Graham begins tournament play as the No. 6 seed and will face the winner of Eaton and Meadowdale. The Lady Falcons will look to be sharp as they await their opening opponent.

Division IV – Southwest 4

District Quarterfinal:
No. 12 Indian Lake vs No. 9 Northridge
Sat. Feb. 21 – 5:30 PM @ Troy HS

Indian Lake opens postseason action as the No. 12 seed against Northridge. The Lakers will look to make a tournament run with a strong defensive effort in district play.

Division VI – Southwest 2

District Quarterfinal:
No. 2 West Liberty-Salem vs No. 11 National Trail
Sat. Feb. 21 – 3:30 PM @ Covington HS

West Liberty-Salem earned the No. 2 seed and enters tournament play with momentum. The Lady Tigers will look to protect their high seeding as they take on National Trail in the district quarterfinals.

Division VI – Central 1

First Round:
No. 6 Mechanicsburg vs No. 2 Grandview Heights
Tue. Feb. 18 – 7:00 PM @ Grandview Heights HS

Mechanicsburg opens tournament action on the road against second-seeded Grandview Heights. The Indians will look to put together a strong performance in a difficult first-round matchup.

Division VII – Southwest 1

District Quarterfinal:
No. 13 Riverside vs No. 9 Fairlawn
Sat. Feb. 21 – 2:00 PM @ Versailles HS

Riverside opens tournament play as the No. 13 seed and will face Fairlawn in a neutral-site matchup. The Pirates aim to pull off an upset to keep their season alive.

Division VII – Southwest 2

District Quarterfinal:
No. 14 Calvary Christian vs No. 6 Botkins
Sat. Feb. 21 – 1:00 PM @ Sidney HS

Calvary Christian draws a challenging matchup against sixth-seeded Botkins. The Lady Spartans will look to play aggressive basketball as they begin postseason action.

Division VII – Southwest 2

District Quarterfinal:
No. 16 Triad vs No. 2 Mississinawa Valley
Sat. Feb. 21 – 3:00 PM @ Sidney HS

Triad enters as the No. 16 seed and will take on second-seeded Mississinawa Valley. The Cardinals will look to rise to the challenge in tournament play.
