Several area volleyball teams were in action Monday, with Benjamin Logan, Bellefontaine and Riverside picking up wins across varsity and middle school play.
Benjamin Logan 3, Bethel 0
The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders opened homecoming week with a straight-set road victory over Bethel, winning 25-18, 25-15 and 25-21.
The win also gave the Raiders some revenge after Bethel knocked Benjamin Logan out of last year’s Division Four tournament.
Georgia Daniels led the Raiders with 11 kills, followed by Summer Cline with nine and Abby Vance with seven.
Autumn Cline directed the offense with 28 assists, while Brielle Kline led the defensive effort with a 2.22 passing rating.
Benjamin Logan returns home Tuesday to host Bellefontaine before traveling to Shawnee Thursday.
Bellefontaine 7th Grade 2, Indian Lake 1
The Bellefontaine seventh-grade Lady Chiefs defeated Indian Lake in three sets, 25-22, 15-25 and 25-18.
Bexley Daring led the Chiefs with 12 digs and five aces. Devyn Hogan added six kills, two digs, two assists and an ace, while Emma Layman had five digs, three kills, five assists and eight aces.
Addy Harden had two kills, while Miley McKirahan added a kill and two aces.
Bellefontaine 8th Grade 2, Indian Lake 0
The Bellefontaine eighth-grade team remained undefeated at home with a two-set win over Indian Lake, 27-25 and 25-18.
Alivia Rogan had six digs, four kills and four aces. Skylar Phan recorded 13 digs, a kill and three aces, while Braelynn Neer added three digs, three kills and four aces.
Arianna Rumer finished with eight digs, four assists and two aces.
The Chiefs improve to 10-3 and host Shawnee Wednesday.
Riverside 7th Grade 2, Northridge 0
Riverside’s seventh-grade team defeated Northridge 25-23 and 25-5.
Stella Shultz led the Pirates with 13 points and eight aces, while Kylie Godshall added 11 points and 10 aces.
Scarlett Lentz had three points and two aces, and Bella Castallante added two points, an ace and a tip.
Riverside 8th Grade 2, Northridge 0
The Riverside eighth-grade team also earned a straight-set win, 25-7 and 25-9.
Ruth Morrison led the way with 14 points and three aces. Bella Schultz added 11 points, nine aces and two tips.
Brylee Shephard finished with eight points, eight aces, three kills and a tip.
Riverside returns to action Thursday at Troy Christian.

Kenton Ridge defeated the Benjamin Logan seventh-grade team 25-23 and 25-15.
