Raider boys edge past IL; Lady Chiefs beat JA – Wednesday soccer scores

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls tied Indian Lake 1-1.

Izzy Henderson scored for the Lady Raiders

Allie Henault had 8 saves in the game.

Scoring for the Lady Lakers was Ashlynn Beiderman.

Savannah Hill tallied 9 saves.

Benjamin Logan moves to 1-6-3 (0-4-1 CBC).

Indian Lake is now 0-6-3 (0-3-2 CBC).

The Lady Raiders travel to play Kenton Ridge Monday.

The Benjamin Logan varsity boys defeated Indian Lake 1-0.

Scoring the lone goal was Josh Rich.

The Raiders improve to 6-2-2 (3-0-2 CBC).

The Lakers fall to 4-7, (0-5 CBC).

“Not the best game we played all season for sure, but we knew the Lake would give us their best game and they certainly played well,” said Raiders Head Coach Jamie Hughes. “We did what we needed to do defensively to shut them out for the 3rd year in a row and these are the games we need to win to accomplish our goal of winning the league for the 3rd straight year. We will take the 3 points, and turn our focus to West Liberty Salem who we play on Saturday and continue to work hard to get better.”

The Bellefontaine varsity girls beat Jonathan Alder 2-1.

Scoring both goals for the Lady Chiefs was Parker Penhorwood.

Bellefontaine is now 5-4-1 and 3-1-1 CBC.

The Chieftain varsity boys game with Jonathan Alder was postponed due to lightning.

Alder established a 2-0 lead at the half.
