Stinebaugh, Holbrook power Indian Lake at Otterbein meet

The Indian Lake indoor track teams were in action over the weekend at Otterbein University, turning in several strong performances and multiple top-eight finishes against a competitive field.

Leading the way was Aidan Stinebaugh, who placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 37-11. Indian Lake also had a strong showing in that event with Silas Holbrook finishing third (33-6), Wyatt Whitsett taking fourth (33-0.5), and Haley Metzger placing sixth (25-4) on the girls side.

In relay action, the boys 4x200A team of Cason Lacher, Cole McClelland, Wyatt Whitsett, and Silas Holbrook placed fifth with a time of 1:42, while the boys 4x200B team of Hayes Henry, Logan Daniels, Jordan Vance, and Nathan White finished eighth (1:58). The girls 4×200 relay team of Haley Metzger, Laura Metzger, Olivia Albert, and Kayleigh Taylor earned a seventh-place finish.

Additional top finishes included Hayes Henry, who placed seventh in the high jump with a personal-record height of 5-6. Henry also competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 11th with a PR time of 10.39.

Other notable performances saw Logan Daniels run a PR 7.84 in the 60 meters, Cole McClelland clock 8.39 in the 60, and Piper Warnecke place 16th in the long jump. Wyatt Whitsett also finished 16th in the high jump, while Evan Wu placed 24th in the shot put.

On the distance side, Nathan White ran 5:51 in the 1600 meters, Kayleigh Taylor placed 27th in the 1600, and Olivia Albert finished 31st in the 400 meters.

Indian Lake continues its indoor season building depth and experience as athletes posted several personal bests at the Otterbein meet.
