Urbana earns massive road victory over Kenton Ridge; Friday basketball roundup

VARSITY BOYS — Urbana 69, Kenton Ridge 60

Urbana improved to 13–3 on the season with an impressive road win Friday night at Kenton Ridge.

Grady Lantz led all scorers with 26 points for the Hillclimbers. Kaden Underwood added 15 points, Drew Dixon chipped in 12, and Gio Rube finished with 10 in the win.

JV — Urbana 51, Kenton Ridge 24
Mekhi Peterson led Urbana with 15 points. Chris Endres and Jared McNeely each added seven.

9TH GRADE — Urbana 52, Kenton Ridge 45
Tate Lantz paced Urbana with 21 points, while Dexyn Yohey scored 10 and Jetson Armstrong added eight.

VARSITY BOYS — West Liberty-Salem 59, Triad 15

West Liberty-Salem (13–3 overall, 11–2 OHC) dominated at home Friday night, rolling past Triad 59–15.

Brandel Sullivan led the Tigers with 15 points. Carson Poppe scored nine, while Brevin Louden and Troy Christison each added eight. Beckett Sullivan finished with seven, Sutton Wilcoxon scored six, Garrett Wallen added five, and Sam Strapp rounded out the scoring with one.

JVA — West Liberty-Salem 56, Triad 23
Liam Barger led the Tigers with 15 points. Josiah Johnson and Grant Krabill each scored 11, while Tyler Hershberger added six.

West Liberty-Salem returns to action Saturday, January 31, hosting Jackson Center. JVB action begins at 5:00 p.m.

VARSITY BOYS — Indian Lake 60, Northwestern 40

Indian Lake earned a home victory Friday night, defeating Northwestern 60–40.

Avery Pequignot led the Lakers with 19 points, followed by Brodey Reisinger with 16 and Colin Bendler with 10.

The night marked a milestone for junior Brodey Reisinger, who scored his 1,000th career point.

JV — Indian Lake 66, Northwestern 34
Rush Hurley led Indian Lake with 12 points.

VARSITY GIRLS — Mechanicsburg 53, West Jefferson 41

Mechanicsburg pulled away in the second half Friday night to secure a 53–41 win over West Jefferson.

The Indians led 28–22 at halftime and continued to extend the lead in the third quarter. Clair Rodgers scored 12 points for Mechanicsburg, while Clara Forrest led all scorers with 18.
