The Southwest Division II girls golf sectional tournament was held Wednesday at WGC Golf Course in Xenia, with Urbana finishing fourth as a team and West Liberty-Salem placing sixth. Graham finished seventh, while Calvary Christian’s Marley Young competed individually.
Urbana qualified for the district tournament as a team, while Graham’s Bayla Moffitt also advanced individually.
Southwest Division II Sectional
Urbana — 4th (437)
The Urbana Hillclimbers finished fourth as a team with a score of 437, earning a spot in the district tournament.
Jenna Dewitt led Urbana with a 96, shooting a 47 on the front nine and a 49 on the back nine to tie for eighth individually.
Julianne Hoskins followed with a 97, including a 52 on the front nine and a 45 on the back, to finish 10th overall.
Sydney Padilla carded a 118 after shooting 59 on each nine to finish 37th.
Mollie McDonald finished with a 126, shooting 61 on the front nine and 65 on the back to place 45th.
Jade Wright rounded out the Urbana lineup with a 149, shooting 71 on the front nine and 78 on the back to finish 55th.
With their fourth-place team finish, the Hillclimbers will move on to the district tournament.
West Liberty-Salem — 6th (444)
The West Liberty-Salem Tigers finished sixth with a team score of 444.
Grace Jones paced the Tigers with a 96, shooting 46 on the front nine and 50 on the back to tie for eighth individually.
Ava Martin finished with a 114 after rounds of 55 and 59 to place 34th.
Emma Cole and Kate Bolton both carded 117s. Cole shot 58-59 to tie for 35th, while Bolton shot 57-60 to also tie for 35th.
Ashly Pope added a 133, shooting 62 on the front nine and 71 on the back to tie for 48th.
Graham — 7th (447)
The Graham Falcons finished seventh as a team with a score of 447.
Bayla Moffitt led the Falcons with a 90, shooting 41 on the front nine and 49 on the back to finish sixth individually. Moffitt’s individual finish was good enough to qualify her for the district tournament.
Avah McLean followed with a 106, shooting 52-54 to tie for 17th.
Ellayna Little carded an 111 with rounds of 54 and 57 to tie for 28th.
Lydia Schetter finished with a 140 after shooting 67 on the front nine and 73 on the back to place 51st.
Calvary Christian
Marley Young of Calvary Christian competed individually and finished tied for 41st with a 123.
Young shot a 60 on the front nine before carding a 63 on the back nine.
