The West Liberty-Salem Tigers kicked off their boys wrestling season on Thursday night with an impressive showing, securing victories in both of their opening duals at Madison-Plains High School.

Dual 1: WLS 33, Madison-Plains 29

Despite navigating early-season lineup adjustments and giving up several weight classes, the Tigers battled hard against Madison-Plains. Their resilience paid off as they edged out a 33–29 win to start the season undefeated.

Dual 2: WLS 47, East Clinton 7

In the second matchup, West Liberty-Salem faced a small but competitive East Clinton squad that brought just four wrestlers to the mat. WLS won three of those four contested matches and picked up additional points through forfeits, closing out the night with a dominant 47–7 victory.
