WL-S 6th-grade boys capture gold at Triad Classic

The West Liberty-Salem 6th-grade boys basketball team delivered a championship performance over the weekend, winning the Gold Bracket at the Triad Classic.

WL-S went a perfect 4–0 across pool play and bracket action, finishing the tournament with a decisive championship victory on Sunday.

Saturday Pool Play

WL-S 41, Bellefontaine 28
Braxton Louden led the way with 25 points, while Isaac Fallon added 8. Abrym Johnson and Parker Knight scored 3 each, and Jack Troyer chipped in 2.

WL-S 37, Northeastern 9
A balanced scoring effort powered WL-S, with Louden scoring 12 points. Jack Troyer finished with 7, Jackson Barth and Ozzy Anders had 5 apiece, Calvin Cotrell scored 4, and Parker Knight and Isaac Fallon each added 2.

Louden once again paced the offense with 19 points. Ozzy Anders, Jack Troyer, Jackson Barth, Parker Knight, and Isaac Fallon each contributed 4 points in the win.

Championship Game
WL-S 52, Bellefontaine 37
WL-S closed the tournament in style, pulling away for a 15-point championship victory. Louden scored 17 points, Troyer added 13, Fallon finished with 12, Anders had 6, and Knight chipped in 4.

With strong teamwork, consistent scoring, and impressive defense throughout the weekend, the West Liberty-Salem 6th grade boys brought home the Gold Bracket championship, marking a memorable run at the 28th annual Triad Classic.
