NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
McARTHUR TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
Notice is hereby given that the McArthur Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 6:45 p.m. at the McArthur Township
Building, 3691 County Road 37 W, Huntsville, Ohio 43324.
The Board will hear and consider the following applications for conditional use permits:
Amy Shenkle – 7284 County Road 49, Belle Center, Ohio 43310
Amy Shenkle is requesting conditional use approval for the following uses on her
property:
1. To use an existing guest house as a short-term rental and/or suite for wedding
parties and guests attending events held on the property.
2. To use an existing agricultural building for Commercial Recreation, specifically as
an event venue for weddings, birthday and anniversary celebrations, showers,
farmers markets, educational events, and other similar gatherings. The proposed
use also includes the installation and use of associated parking areas and
restroom facilities.
John Yoder – 5787 County Road 49, Huntsville, Ohio 43324
John Yoder is requesting a conditional use permit for Light Manufacturing on Parcel No.
23-050-00-00-035-000, located near 5314 County Road 49, for the construction and
operation of a sawmill and associated activities on the property.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will hear the applications and receive information
concerning the proposed conditional uses at the public hearing.
