PUBLIC NOTICE
McARTHUR TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
Notice is hereby given that the McArthur Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 6:45 P.M. at the McArthur Township
Building, 3691 County Road 37 W, Huntsville, Ohio 43324, to consider the following
matters:
CONTINUED CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION – AMY SHENKLE
Continuation of the public hearing held September 15, 2026, concerning the conditional
use application of Amy Shenkle for property located at 7284 County Road 49, Belle
Center, Ohio 43310, currently zoned U-1 Rural District.
The applicant is requesting conditional use approval to use an existing guest house as a
short-term rental and/or suite for wedding parties associated with events held on the
property.
The applicant is also requesting conditional use approval to use an existing agricultural
building for Commercial Recreation as an event venue for weddings, birthdays,
anniversaries, showers, farmers markets, educational events, and similar gatherings.
The proposal includes associated parking areas and restroom facilities.
CONDITIONAL USE APPLICATION – NATHAN MATTSON
Consideration of an application submitted by Nathan Mattson requesting a conditional
use permit for property located at 7873 State Route 117, Huntsville, Ohio. The property
is currently zoned U-1 Rural District.
The applicant is requesting conditional use approval for Light Manufacturing for the
construction of a pole barn building to house and operate a blasting and powder coating
business.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard regarding the
applications.
