Sunday kicks off the 175th Logan County Fair

The Logan County Fair will mark a major milestone as it celebrates its 175th anniversary, kicking off a week of festivities on Sunday.

This year’s Opening Day also serves as Veterans Day, with free admission for all veterans in recognition of their service.

General admission is $8.00.

The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with booth judging in the Youth Building.

A Veterans Program and Lunch, sponsored by Logan County Veteran Services and the Logan County Senior Center, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., honoring local veterans with food, fellowship, and special presentations.

At 12:00 p.m., the Opening Ceremony will take place in the Grandstand, immediately followed by the Fair Royalty Contest at 12:15 p.m., where local contestants will compete for the titles of fair queen, king, and court.

Livestock events kick off at 1:00 p.m. with the Poultry Show in the Show Barn.

The fair’s official 175th Anniversary Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Pavilion, recognizing the fair’s long-standing contribution to Logan County’s agricultural and cultural heritage.

Evening events include the ever-popular Demolition Derby, set to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Grandstand.

At 7:00 p.m., the Born & Raised Steer/Heifer Show will take place in the Show Barn, followed by the Jackpot Dairy Steer Show.

The Logan County Fair will run throughout the week, offering a wide variety of attractions including livestock shows, youth competitions, live entertainment, local food vendors, and more.
