Law enforcement agencies across the region are teaming up to crack down on distracted driving.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced it will partner with the 6-State Trooper Project for an enforcement campaign running from Monday, April 6, through Monday, April 13.
The effort brings together state police agencies from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, all focusing on reducing distracted driving on roadways.
Troopers will be watching for drivers who are texting, using handheld devices, or otherwise not paying full attention behind the wheel.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a long-standing partnership designed to improve highway safety through coordinated enforcement, criminal patrol, and information sharing across state lines.
Officials say the goal is simple—keep drivers focused and reduce preventable crashes.
