A man is facing multiple charges after police say he assaulted and strangled his live-in girlfriend during a domestic dispute Friday night.
According to the Russells Point Police Department, officers were called to a home on Bristol Circle just before 10:00 PM.
When they arrived, they found a distressed woman who reported that 61-year-old Roger Spangler, hit her several times and choked her until she briefly lost consciousness.
Police say the victim had visible injuries consistent with her statement.
Spangler, who appeared heavily intoxicated, denied the allegations but was arrested without incident.
He was charged with strangulation and domestic violence and taken to the Logan County Jail.
