The village of West Liberty is inviting residents, visitors, and local organizations to take part in a full day of holiday-themed events, shopping, and community activities this Saturday as it kicks off the Christmas season.

The day begins at 9 a.m. with the Luminaria 5K Run, offering participants an energetic start to the festivities.

At 10 a.m., families can visit the Opera House for Cookies with Santa, where children can enjoy treats, take photos, and share their holiday wish lists.

As part of Small Business Saturday, shops throughout the village will be open with special promotions, extended hours, and a variety of gift options for holiday shoppers.

Seasonal music, activities, and treats will also be available around town.

The celebration will conclude with the annual Christmas Parade, which steps off at 6:30 p.m.

The route begins at Lions Club Park and ends at the Firehouse, where Santa Claus will meet families at the gazebo.

The band will again lead the parade, performing a song downtown before continuing along the route.

Each parade entry will pause downtown for a brief 30-second announcement.

From morning events through the evening parade, the village of West Liberty is preparing to showcase holiday spirit, community pride, and support for local businesses as the Christmas season officially begins.
