Champaign County Restaurant Week is back for its fifth year, bringing a week-long celebration of local flavor from March 7 through March 14.
Hosted by the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, the annual event highlights the wide variety of dining options across the county — from coffee houses and bakeries to bistros, breweries, and longtime hometown staples. Organizers say the goal is to encourage residents and visitors alike to explore new spots while supporting local restaurants.
Sixteen restaurants have already signed on to participate, with the possibility of more joining before the week begins. Throughout the event, participating businesses will feature special menu offerings and unique creations designed to showcase what makes each establishment stand out.
Diners can also take part in a prize basket giveaway coordinated by the Chamber. Guests can scan a QR code displayed at participating locations to enter, with each visit providing another opportunity to be included in the drawing.
Polly Trenor, the Visitor Experience Representative with the Chamber of Commerce, talks about what coordinating the event looks like and how locals can get involved.
The event is open to any restaurant in Champaign County, and organizers are encouraging community members to spread the word and invite their favorite spots to participate.
