The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has released information about the accident at the intersection of US 33 and State Route 274, Monday around 10:00 am. The road was closed for over two hours.

Charles Sickles-Sposa, 17, of Waynesfield, was approaching the intersection of 274 and 33 when he failed to yield to a stop sign and pulled into the path of a semi driven by Randy Ross of Hollandsburg, Ohio.

Ross struck Sickles-Sposa on the passenger side of his Buick. Both vehicles went off the side of the road, where Sickles-Sposa then struck a traffic sign before coming to a rest. Ross and his semi rolled onto its side before stopping.

Sickles-Sposa, Ross, and a passenger in the semi, Desirae Debellis, were all wearing their seat belts. They were transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible but non-life-threatening injuries.

Sickles-Sposa was cited for failure to yield.
