The Benjamin Logan High School has announced that their May Seniors of the Month are Micah Ackley and Kate Hahn.

Micah Ackley is the son of Dan and Tracey Ackley of East Liberty.

School activities and awards: FFA, Track, Cross Country, Cross Country Sportsmanship Award, FFA Greenhand Degree, FFA Chapter Degree, FFA State Degree, and Gold Rated Officer (Treasurer)

If I were principal for a day: I would let cattle walk around in the school and have tractors in the parking lots.

Favorite school memory: Leaving the state for the first time and going to the National FFA Convention in Indiana. I had a great time with the people who went on the trip, even if they took my hat a few times.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My family, of course, especially my brothers and my Paps, along with many others.

Lately, I have been reading: Like a River by Granger Smith, and the Bible.

My advice to parents: Give all the support you possibly can to your kids and always be their biggest cheerleaders especially through the rough times, and no matter what trust in God.

My biggest regret: Not doing a whole lot of CCP classes. I wish I did a few more, along with joining more clubs.

Next year I will be:  Attending Ohio State ATI in Wooster majoring in Agronomy.

Kate Hahn is the daughter of Ed and Kim Hahn of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, Choir, A Capella, Show Choir, Garden Club, Plays, Musicals, and Golf. Awards: English Award, Biology Award, Honor Band, Honor Choir, Positive Attitude Awards, Sportsmanship Award, Academic Letter, and Solo and Ensemble II.

If I were principal for a day: I would add more opportunities for the arts to thrive and make going on walks mandatory.

Favorite school memory: The entire Disney trip the music department took.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My music teachers, Mr. Bowers and Mr. Dove, my fellow students, and Micarah Tewers.

Lately, I have been reading: The Twilight Saga.

My advice to parents: Let your kids have fun in school and explore who they are and what they want to do.

My biggest regret: Not expressing myself and putting myself out there, especially in musical theater and the arts.

Next year I will be: Attending Wright State University in Dayton studying Theater Technology and Design with a focus in costume design.

Congratulations!
