BMRT EMS transported a Piqua man to Lima Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries late Friday night following a motorcycle crash in northern Logan County.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, 48-year-old Keith Schmitz was operating a 2016 Polaris Scout on State Route 368 when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway.
Deputies believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
Schmitz has been cited for operating a vehicle under the influence.
The incident remains under investigation pending the results of impairment testing
