Benjamin Logan High School has announced its September Seniors of the Month.
Congratulations to Bre Allen and Carter Daniels.
Bre Allen is the daughter of Seth and Kim Allen of Zanesfield.
School activities and awards: Standing Ovation Show Choir Captain, Student Government Vice President, Senior Class Vice President, ROC, National Honor Society, Musical, Student Spirit Section Leader, Chorale, and Gardening Club. Awards: Citizenship Award, Academic Letters, Raider Awards, and Honda Breakfast Achievement.
If I were principal for a day: I’d do a school-wide obstacle course for both students and teachers.
Favorite school memory: During March Madness my sophomore year, watching the teachers go up against the students and seeing Mr. Harmon trip and fall.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents and my sister.
Lately, I have been reading: Analytical passages for my college writing class.
My advice to parents: Let kids be kids; going to games, joining clubs, and making memories can change everything.
My biggest regret: Not going to more school events and participating in dress-up days.
Next year: I will hopefully be studying criminology at one of my top 3 colleges.
Allen talks about her time at Benjamin Logan and her future:
Carter Daniels is the son of Kristy and Chris Daniels of Bellefontaine.
School activities and awards: Student Government, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Swimming, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Band Awards: Certificate of Excellence – Citizenship Award, Central Buckeye Conference Honor Student (9,11), Best Pole Vaulter Award (9), and Most Improved Award – Swimming (11).
If I were principal for a day: I would allow students to have their backpacks and phones again. With that being said, it would be a work day for all classes, so students can have time to complete their work.
Favorite school memory: Breaking the Middle School pole vault record over and over again while my friends cheered me on.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My dad, my grandma, and my great uncle.
Lately, I have been reading: The Holy Bible – King James Version.
My advice to parents: If your kid says that he has something under control, let them be. If they need you, they’ll come to you.
My biggest regret: Not listening to my body while pole vaulting.
Next year: I plan to be pole vaulting for the United States Military Academy.
Daniels says he loves Benjamin Logan and talks about what the future holds:
