Indian Lake High School has named its final Seniors of the Month for the 2024/2025 school year, Caleb Altstaetter and Abigail Elliott.
Caleb Altstaetter is the son of Phil and Brandi Altstaetter of Bellefontaine.
School Activities and awards: FFA, Cross Country, Swim, NHS, NTHS, Received FFA State Degree, Honor Roll all years, Lettered winner in Swim and Cross Country, Academic Achievement Breakfast, Rotary Honors
If I were principal for a day: I would have a pickleball tournament.
Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is when the swim team made it to Districts and we got to have fun at Miami University for a night.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My father, my friends, and my grandparents.
Lately I’ve been reading: Prospero’s Daughter
My advice to parents: Make sure your kids don’t skip school, and make sure you motivate them to get their stuff done.
My biggest regret: I regret not running to be a class and FFA officer for all years.
Next year I will be: At Columbus State, training to be an airplane mechanic.
Abigail Elliott is the daughter of Dean and Sarah Elliott of DeGraff.
School Activities and awards: BPA – Went to state two years Student Council, Softball – Went to state in 2023, Second Team All Conference 2024
If I were principal for a day: I would have a softball and baseball game during the school day so more kids could come and watch.
Favorite school memory: My favorite memory is going to state for softball in 2023.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents, Mr. Lillard, and Mrs. Mefford
Lately I’ve been reading: Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief
My advice to parents: Push your kids to maintain good grades throughout school.
My biggest regret: I regret not hanging out with friends enough.
Next year I will be: Going to Bowling Green State University and majoring in Secondary Education.
