West Liberty-Salem hosted their Middle School Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 28th. Caizen Anders, a sixth grader, won the Middle School Spelling Bee after an intense 30 rounds! He claimed victory with the word “tersely,” but not without a tough challenge from Drew Piacentino, 8th grade, who went head-to-head with Caizen for the final 19 rounds! We’re so proud of all the participants for representing their grades with great effort and determination. Well done, everyone!
The following students represented their class in the Spelling Bee: 6th Grade Caizens Anders, Shiloh Cole, Trevor Dalton, Emma Krois, Leah Lee, Nika Matthews, Calvin de Roziere, and Quyn Vermillion. 7th Grade Addy Brannon, Wyatt Brooks, Cole Cooper, Zeke Lauck, Ana Krempasky, Rosie Sokolow, Connor Watson, and Lilly Yeater. 8th Grade Alexa Beard, Tyler Hershberger, Jules Loveless, Braylon Lucas, Drew Piacentino, Carter Pratt, and Izzy Spencer-Carver.
