Early Friday morning officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were called to Speedway on East Sandusky Avenue in reference to an armed robbery.
When officers arrived at the gas station the clerk informed them that the suspect had fled the scene, headed Westbound.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect described as a white male wearing a grey sweatshirt, skull mask, and blue rubber gloves.
The clerk stated that the man had entered the gas station, pointed a gun at them, and demanded cash from the register.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
Further investigation is pending.
