Art League raises $4,550 at annual “Not So Bad Art by Good People” auction

The Logan County Art League’s annual “Not So Bad Art by Good People” event, held Friday night at Honey Birch Farm, was a success.

The art auction raised $4,550 to support the nonprofit’s mission of promoting the arts in Logan County.

The auction featured artwork from local artists, including people from a variety of professions.

The pieces included abstract art, traditional works, and even a painted guitar, offering something for everyone.

The artists who participated were:

  • Mark Amidon, of Holdren Brothers
  • Barb Harpst, from Citizens Federal Savings & Loan
  • Brian Holder, of Indian Lake Outfitters, LLC *Peoples Choice Award*
  • Quinton James, Technology Director at the Holland Theatre *Highest Bid Award*
  • April King, from V-Teck Communications
  • Cori Morse, of Dr. Sloan Library in Zanesfield
  • Brittany Saxton, from Six Hundred Downtown
  • Hannah Southwood, of Edward Jones
  • Pastor Rob Starnes, of Gretna Brethren Church

Logan County Art League President Darcy DeLeon said of the event:

This auction is one of the Art League’s biggest fundraisers each year and helps support their programs in the community.

The Logan County Art League thanks everyone who participated and supported the local arts scene.

Upcoming events include Art at the Beach on Saturday, June 14th, the Logan County Fair from July 6th to 12th, and the Winter Art Faire on Saturday, November 1st.
