Three people were injured Wednesday evening in an ATV crash on private property along Church Road in Urbana, according to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the incident happened around 5:23 p.m. when an ATV driven by 50-year-old Travis Bryant, of Urbana, flipped while he was reportedly chasing a groundhog and performing “donuts” in a field.
The report states that the ATV hit a hole, causing it to overturn. None of the passengers were wearing helmets or seat belts at the time.
Travis was driving the vehicle, with Brooklyn Bryant in the middle seat and Kaden Mowers in the passenger seat.
Brooklyn Bryant was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital, while Travis Bryant and Kaden Mowers were taken to the hospital by private vehicle for further evaluation.
