UPDATED: Authorities respond to late-night boating accident at Indian Lake

Sunday afternoon, officials released the following statement:

“Natural Resources Officers were called to Indian Lake State Park Saturday night around 10:45 p.m. to investigate a boating accident. Officers learned a boat had crashed into the sea wall in the area of Chase Avenue, Russells Point. One person was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The operator of the boat had left the scene and was later found at his apartment. There were no injuries reported. Officers are investigating the possibility that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.”
