With many students across Ohio back in the classroom, drivers are reminded to pay extra attention when school buses are on the road.
Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds weighs in on the rules of when to stop for a school bus and gives a few other traffic reminders:
Failure to follow the law is not only dangerous but costly.
In Ohio, ignoring a stopped school bus can result in fines, points on your license, and even a suspended license for repeat offenses.
Parents are also encouraged to remind their children to look around before stepping off the bus.
As the school year begins, Ohio drivers are urged to slow down, stay alert, and always stop for school buses—it’s the law, and it could save a life.
