The Bellefontaine Board of Education heard about a few proposed student trips during their monthly meeting Monday night.
Bellefontaine City Schools Robotics Advisor Jordan Reser detailed three out-of-state trips for BHS Robotics this school year. The trips include competitions at Riverbots in Monroe, Michigan on December 13th-14th, Sugar Rush in Hershey, Pennsylvania on January 3rd-4th, and Gateway in Triadelphia, West Virginia on February 2nd-3rd. The team hopes to then qualify for the Worlds in Dallas in early May.
Reser explained that BCS Robotics continues to grow and offer real-world learning opportunities for students:
Reser then discussed the annual 8th-grade trip to Washington, DC. About 100 students along with chaperones will visit the nation’s capital in May. The four-day trip will cost $910 per student. Student Adventures is the tour agency. The board will consider approving the BCS Robotics trips and the 8th-grade trip at a future meeting.
