The Bellefontaine High School Orchestra hosted the All City Strings concert in the BHS Auditorium on Wednesday night. The orchestras from 5th through 8th Grades and the BHS Orchestra each performed during the event.
Special awards were presented to each orchestra. Recipients of the 110% Award include:
- Sierra Jones – 5th Grade
- Noah Goble – 5th Grade
- Marissa Oaks – 6th Grade
- A’mya Branson – 6th Grade
- Nolan Parmer – 7th Grade
- Kylyn Slayback – 7th Grade
- Diana Martinez – 8th Grade
- Landon Severt – 8th Grade
- Addison Prosser – 9th Grade
- Will Myers – 10th Grade
- Gracie Hood – 11th Grade
- Cooper Hunt – 12th Grade
- Nolan Core – 12th Grade
- Lilly Hudson – 12th Grade
Two seniors received special awards. Kate Myers received the Director’s Award while Blaine Mitchell was honored with the National Orchestra Award.
The BHS senior orchestra members are Ryan Alexander, Emma Childs, Nolan Core, Claire Grandstaff, Lilly Hudson, Cooper Hunt, Blaine Mitchell, Kate Myers, Alex Priest, and Nathan Shultz.
There are 155 orchestra members in grades 5-12. The BCS Orchestra Director is Laura Mitchell.

The Bellefontaine High School Orchestra earned an Excellent rating at the OMEA State Orchestra Adjudicated Event earlier this month and will perform at Kings Island on May 3rd.
The BMS and BHS orchestras will conclude their seasons at the Fine Arts Festival at BHS on May 14th.
